A Taste of London for The Wern
This week the team were lucky enough to go to the opening day of Taste of London in Regent’s Park for a food-filled evening – and we couldn’t have asked for better weather.
Taste of London is a showcase of the capital’s best restaurants, top chefs and leading food and drink brands, which occurs twice a year. This year, London’s latest and most exciting restaurants were on stand to serve taster size signature dishes from their mouth-watering menus. Not only that, but throughout the course of the five-day festival, world-class chefs cook live demonstrations as well as interactive masterclasses. You can shop ‘til you drop from an array of more than 200 food and drink purveyors.
Not only did we devour delicious food and drink, we saw the main attraction of the night -chef, Tom Kerridge – who gave a brilliant demonstration of some of his classics. You might know him from the telly, but he is also the main man behind the extraordinary two Michelin-starred Hand & Flowers pub in Marlow.
From a double decker Pimm’s red bus to smaller stands from startup brands like Propercorn and Hippeas, we were like kids in a healthy candy store. The atmosphere of the hustle and bustle of other punters, bloggers and true foodies was great and the amazing food topped it.
Taste of London is open until Sunday 18th June, with demonstrations from a number of excellent chefs, not to be missed. Grab your tickets while you can through the website – we’ll definitely be going again next year!
